05 Jun Covid-19 – Practice Update
You may have heard that Dental practices across England will be allowed to begin the process of reopening for all emergency and routine dental care from Monday 8th June. This is wonderful news for our patients and our team members.
We are working through the details of this, and will be communicating directly with you soon with more information when the practice will reopen. In the meantime, please do not try to make a new appointment or attend the practice. Also please continue to assume that all appointments during the month of June have still been cancelled, and if you need advice, or are in need of urgent dental care, you should still continue to contact the practice, where we will be able to help via the telephone or email account.
Behind-the-scenes we have been working very hard to ensure that we are ready to manage the challenges around enhanced PPE, patient screening, social distancing and patient flow.
Throughout all of this process, the safety and well-being of our whole team and our patients has been the number one priority and this continues to be the case. We are desperate to welcome you all back as soon as reasonable possible, but we must ensure that the required procedures and protocols are in place, to be compliant with government advice and our professional guidance and regulations.
You will appreciate that after 2 months of closure, we will be needing to prioritise patients on the basis of most urgent and desperate need, to clear the large backlog that has been created. We will prioritise the relief of pain and want to see everyone as soon as we can.
We will be keeping everyone updated for a date when normal appointment bookings will reopen, and please try not to contact the practice about future appointments you may have already booked with us.
Remember we are listening to you, but please try be patient with us.
Stay safe and well
